To get better at Roller Derby it is not all about the skates. A couple of weeks ago our league was lucky enough to get a visit from one of the more experienced coaches in Tromsø, Ivan Tzatchev.
He usually trains young people in Tromsø in Taekwondo, and he showed our girls many excercises to improve strenght, balance and agility.
We admit that jumping and skipping up on benches, doing push ups on benches, wrestling and punching on pads had us all pretty exhausted before it was time to continue the practice on skates.
We will absolutely use this excercises again in the time to come, and hope you have time to come and train us again :)
